Our full maul defence preview for Uruguay. Watch this one start to finish before anything else.
How the best in the world move from the air to the ground and into the fight. Watch the speed of the transition — nobody waits.
The body positions that make a hit land — feet, hips, shoulder. Short one. Watch it twice.
The scrape only works if the right part of the body does the work. We cannot scrape with the front delt, the pecs or the traps — that turns us square and kills our power. We scrape with the rear delts and the scapulas: back of the shoulder through the shoulder blade.
If the front of your shoulder or your chest is touching them first, you're square and you're pushing — not scraping. Get the back of the shoulder and the shoulder blade on, and the scrape does the work for you.
